You don't know us, we don't know you...yet!

Three no-risk opportunities for us to demonstrate our capability to you

We would like for you to consider letting us get to know you and you getting to know us to see if there is mutually beneficial work that we can do together!  Nearly all of our business since 2008 has been follow-on work and/or resulted from referrals from very satisfied clients!  Although we have worked with more than 100 great clients and organizations, we know that there are many others we could help to lead and perform better.

So, we offer three opportunities for us to get to know each other…all of which carry zero cost risk to you…you just need to commit a bit of your/team time.

Organization, Leader, and Team Assessment – We offer to come and spend one day with you and your team and to conduct an assessment of the overall organizational climate and performance, the capability and performance of your leaders, and the functionality of your team.  We recognize that a detailed assessment could take much longer, but we are also confident that we are very good at sensing how well things are going in a very short amount of time.  Our day with you can be structured based upon mutual agreement, but typically we like to come on one of your most busy days…we especially like to come when you are doing your periodic leader/staff, planning, or operational synchronization meetings.  Typically the day will include an initial discussion with THE senior leader, review of mission, vision, and goals, participation in ongoing organizational activities/meetings, tour of facility and operations, and several interviews with select personnel…all ranks.  We want to be clear that this is not a financial/fiscal or technical assessment…we assess things like organizational functionality, communications, leader effectiveness, teamwork, and clarity of/focus on mission and goals.  We typically conclude our day with a senior leader/team out-brief and, if possible, we like to have a working dinner with key members of the team.  We follow-up in a week with a written assessment and recommendations.  If we identify opportunities that we think we may be able to help you with, we will tell you so and if you are interested then we can discuss contractually working together.  If you are good to go and there is nothing significant we can recommend to improve and/or if there are issues/challenges we are not prepared to help with…we will also tell you that.  In any case, the cost to you is $0.  This free offer is limited to the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.  We can do these assessments outside of the Mid-Atlantic region, but we would need to bill for actual travel costs.

Emergency Preparedness Program Assessment - We offer to do a free assessment of your organizational Emergency Preparedness (EP) and/or Continuity of Operations/Governance (COOP/COG) Program.  This could be a general or All-Hazards Plan/Program or an event/risk-specific program.  Continuity may be of Operations or Governance depending on your organization.  Our assessment is not designed to evaluate statutory or regulatory compliance…it is focused on the functionality of the plan/program and the readiness of the organization to respond.  This assessment is typically a combination of off-site (review of your documents) and on-site including interviews/discussions with key leaders and members of the team.  We have a very broad range of experience with EM and COOP/COG programs in government and private industry.   We have developed a very great reputation in the domain of Strategic National Stockpile/Medical Countermeasures, Hospital/Health Care including Mass Casualty, Military/Defense Support to Civil Authorities, and Active-Shooter/Armed Intruder.  This EP assessment may also be combined with an Organizational, Leader, and Team Assessment if your situation requires it.  We will commit up to one full day on-site and one full day of staff work off-site to this assessment for free.  Following the on-site session, we typically conclude with an out-brief to the senior leader/team.  And, within one week we will follow-up with a written report of observations and recommendations.   If we identify opportunities that we think we may be able to help you with, we will tell you so and if you are interested then we can discuss contractually working together.  If you are good to go and there is nothing significant we can recommend improving and/or if there are issues/challenges we are not prepared to help with…we will also tell you that.  In any case, the cost to you is $0.  This free offer is limited to the Mid-Atlantic region of the US.  We can do these assessments outside of the Mid-Atlantic region, but we would need to bill for actual travel costs.  This offer is also limited to organizations that do not have EM as their core mission i.e. if you are a County or State/Commonwealth EMA.  We are very happy to work with our government EMA partners…and have done a lot of it since 2008…we just cannot realistically do a free assessment on whole of county/state programs in a day.

Leadership and Teamwork Training Lanes – This is simply the best short-duration leader and team training you will get.  This one, we will charge you for if you are fully satisfied…if you are not, you pay nothing!  The Leadership and Teamwork Training Lanes or LTTL is modeled after the Army Leadership reaction course.  With some wooden platforms, planks, ropes, colored team tee shirts, a few other accessories…and expert instruction and facilitation, we provide a great learning opportunity and a memorable experience for your team.  Typical LTTL engagement includes 2+/- hour classroom phase and 2+/- “Lanes” phase.  The “Lanes” phase is moderately physically demanding…getting up/down from platforms, handling wooden planks, carrying supplies, “walking the planks”, etc.  Often we have some participants who cannot fully participate physically but they can still observe and assist.  We have some space/logistics requirements including a flat hard surface of at least 15’ x 60’ to setup the lanes…and it should be indoor but for summer/good weather we can consider outside.  We also need a classroom for that phase of the event.  Finally, we are limited to about 20 participants so that we can form two teams of +/-10 participants.  We understand that this may be a bit hard to envision without doing it…unless you have done some Adventure Course or Military Leadership Reaction Course before.  But, we have done a LOT of these since 2008 and we have NEVER had an unsatisfied client/team.  We also have a good number of clients who have us back year after year because it is the best training they have ever done and the most fun they have ever had.  Clients and teams typically talk about it long after we are gone and they plan and practice so that they can do even better on the “lanes” the next time.   Fair warning…some of the lanes are hard.  The “practice” lane, team vs. team competition lane (two teams doing identical lane at the same time) and a couple of the easy configurations about 50% of the teams complete within the 15 minute time limit.  The “moderate” difficulty lanes <25% complete on time first time.  And, we have two lanes that we have NEVER had a team be a first time “go”…maybe you and your team can be the first! The cost to you for this engagement is half a day of time from your team and $3500-$7500 depending on the size of your group and the location.  But remember, if you don’t agree that it was simply awesome training…it costs you $0.

Aquila SOG may limit, modify, or terminate these offers at any time due to availability and schedule of our team.  We are confident you will understand...we are doing this to generate additional business opportunity for us...but too much business can be just as bad as too little business!
